Red Deer, Alberta
Lessons
In person in Red Deer, and online anywhere.
Who this is for
Brass and wind players, jazz students at any age, and anyone moving to an electronic wind instrument.
What you can book
In person — Red Deer
Private lessons, weekly or otherwise. Brass, jazz improvisation, reading and playing in a section.
Online — anywhere
The same lesson over video. Nothing about improvisation or the NuEVI needs the two of us in one room.
NuEVI and electronic wind instruments
The instrument, the fingering, the breath, and the rig behind it — for brass players in particular, whose route in is the one nobody has written down.
Fees depend on the length of the lesson and how often you want to work. Send the details below and you will have a number the same day.
The NuEVI, for brass players
Almost every electronic wind instrument teacher works on the Akai EWI, which is fingered like a saxophone. The NuEVI carries the EVI lineage instead — valves, for trumpet and trombone players. Andrew came to it as a career trombonist and played its first feature concert in November 2024. These lessons run online, wherever you are.
